The Sun & Moon Song

Music/Lyrics: Don de Leaumont

Sitting in candle lit room, trying hard to fight the gloom.

Inspiration left me like a northbound train.

I can’t seem to find, the words or the rhyme.

I haven’t seen the sun & the moon for days.

Chorus:      And it seems all the good cards are gone.

52 jokers, are left in their place.

Behind this curtain, I can’t find the words to say…

I hope tomorrow, the sun will shine again.

Another gig at the coffee shop,

another dollar bill is dropped,

I play to my woman, & the girl at the bar.

Some nights they seem so long,

think I’ll play another Kevn song.

I close my eyes and fly through the night.

Chorus:      And it seems, all the good words are gone.

I’m left with some syllables on the page.

I step outside, and look for the moon, but it isn’t there.

I hope tomorrow the moon will shine again.

I wake up to find, I’m blessed with the sunshine.

My mind is racing and I can’t keep up.

Inspiration came back to town, rode the sun in southbound

Back into my soul to start my day.

Chorus:      The words begin to arrive.  Inspiration from the sky.

The sun, the moon & stars up high, bring me peace of mind.

And inspiration from the sky….
