The Road Is In My Blood

Lyrics/Music: Don de Leaumont

Lived half my life from a suitcase, it’s nothing new to me.

Every couple of years or so, a brand new town to see.

Seen a lot of faces, drawn a lot of lines.

It’s so hard to pack the bags and leave sometimes.

Chorus:

Sometimes I feel so beaten, sometimes I feel I’ve won.

I hate to leave but the road is in my blood.

A lot of smiles were made.  A lot of tears were shed.

I just want a steady place where I can rest my head.

I was a place to hang my hat, and never be a lone.

I just want a simple place, that I can call a home.
