The Rain

Lyrics/Music: Bert Wray

If the sun refused to shine, where would I find the strength?

I raise my head, up to the sky, and let the rain fall down on me.

The road ahead is long, and it’s tough.  Around the bend I cannot see.

And when I feel, just like giving up, I let the rain fall down on me.

Chorus

The rain so pure, and clean.

The storm’s a bit calmer than it first seemed.

Even without a single ray, of sunshine,

I let the rain fall down on me.

Yonder in the distance lies my home.

I thought all this rambling would set me free.

Now I’m so weary, and I’m all alone.

So let the rain fall down on me.
