Hope

Words/Music: Don de Leaumont

Flowers in December, in my years, makes it all disappear.

As I settle from the day, she makes it all ok.

Close my eyes, what's there to do, as I fade right into you

and I drop from out of this world into dew.

Be my angel, before I sleep.

    Play your tambourine for me.

As I fade into dust, I know that I must

say I could use a little Hope right about now.

Sometimes life can get so loud and I feel lost in the crowd.

Yet she hangs brightly lost in the song, it doesn't take too long.

A ghost on the highway signaling me, so tonight that I might see

dreams of purple, shades of grey as I sleep.

Be my angel, before I sleep.

    Play your tambourine for me.

As I fade into dust, I know that I must

say I could use a little Hope right about now.

Now I'm gone, but just for awhile.  On the low, around my smile.

Pictures painted as you sing, butterfly mornings you will bring.

As I awake on a clear day, please don't loose me on the way.

If you do, we'll meet again tonight.

Be my angel, before I sleep.

    Play your tambourine for me.

As I fade into dust, I know that I must

say I could use a little Hope right about now.
