Brother & Sister

Music/Lyrics: Don de Leaumont

Brother and sister age 5 and age 3, captured in pure black and white.

They live in a frame and tell us a story that I'd like to share here tonight.

Brother and sister they live in the Dustbowl.  Mama she does all she can.

While Daddy's away trying to make them a living.  He travels through dust and through sand.

Brother and sister they might not be smiling.  But they know what they've got is good.

They've got songs, they've got love and a roof up above and a fireplace full stocked with wood.

Brother and sister well they have each other.  They laugh and they play through the day.

When sister sometimes needs help saying the words, brother helps with what she can't say.

Brother and sister they will get older and find themselves going their way.

But captured forever in pure black and white, on the mantle there they'll always stay.

Brother and sister they might not be smiling.  But they know what they've got is good.

They've got songs, they've got love and a roof up above and a fireplace full stocked with wood.
