Thanks for checking out my latest album.  Once again, you’ll find that there’s no deep plot, no political agenda and no brain surgery is needed to get this album.  It’s yet another collection of songs that just show where I am at this very moment as a person, a singer and a songwriter.  All of the songs on this album are brand new songs that were written between July of 2009 and September of 2010.  All, but one that is.  One of them is one of my oldest songs called “Put It There.”  Why rehash this song again you may ask?  Well, it’s because I find it very relevant for the time.  When I moved from NC to GA, I left behind a lot of great, wonderful friends who to this very day keep in touch with me on a daily basis.  I can’t tell you just how amazing this is for me and has made this life transition painless to be honest.  This is just my gift to them to let them all know that I am there for them as much as they are for me.  So with that explained, there ya go.  You get 5 new songs and one old one that’s getting a new life!

You’re probably wondering where the title “This Is Wooden Music” came from.  I was listening to an old Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young bootleg one night and they were doing an acoustic show.  The audience was being a bit rambunctious during the songs and Stephen Stills says, “Hey!  Try and keep it down.  This is wooden music, man.  You’re supposed to be quiet so you can feel it.”  That just really hit home with me.  I play folk music because I like to tell stories.  I like to think that my lyrics are a vehicle that can take people away, make them feel as if they’re part of a story and if I’m lucky, they may even connect to the song finding a bit of themselves in it.  That’s what it’s all about that that’s why I do this.  “Wooden Music” man.  I can totally dig it and I hope you will too.
